Tricel Rain Water Harvesting
Tricel manufacture three types of rainwater harvesting systems in accordance with BS8515.
Gravity System - Stored rainwater is fed from the holding tank to the services by gravity. This design is popular for garden systems or whereby the holding tank is elevated above the service area.
Presseurised (Pumped) System - Stored rainwater is pumped at normal mains pressure directly from the holding tank to the services. A mains water connection is fitted to the the holding tank and acts as a substitue when rainwater is depleted. The mains back up is controlled to ensure that only minimum amount mains water is used. This system omits the requirement of an evelated tank.
Non-Presseurised System - This design is a combination of the Presseurised and Gravity system. Stored rainwater is pumped from the holding tank to an elevated tank and then fed by gravity to the services. The mains water back up is normally connected the elevated tank, which ensures continuous supply of water when rainwater is depleted and during a cut to power supply.
